How do I use my phone to post pictures?
Go to settings and specify a 4 digit PIN that you will use to identify yourself when sending pictures. Once your pin is set, simply take a picture with your phone and send it to username.pin@phototiki.com. You can also specify a caption for the photo in the Subject of your picture message.
Important: Your phone carrier may charge you an additional fee for sending picture messages. Please refer to your plan for pricing. In most cases sending messages to PhotoTiki will go against your picture message allowance. PhotoTiki is NOT responsible for any charges you may incur from your provider for using this service.
How do I get a notice when my friends update their photo blog?
To get a picture message when your friends update their photo blog, visit your settings and specify your Phone Number and set your Photo Notification to Phone.
You can also turn on and off these notifications per friend by editting your friends. Just uncheck Get Updates, and you will no longer get phone/email messages when this person updates, but you can still view them on your friends page.

What are Tags?
Tags allow you to assign words and phrases to your photos to be able to organize them into groups. Once you are signed in and select one of your photos, on the right side you can update the caption, description and tags. For the best results you are better off using terms like food, candy, friends, cars, etc. to describe your photo. You can then click on the Tags section under the photo or in your profile to view photos that have been tagged with that word or phrase.
What do the different security levels mean?
Security settings allow you to specify who can see your photos. There are three options you can set your account to:
- Public - Anyone can view your photos.
- Members - Only members of the site can view your photos.
- Friends - Only users that you mark as friends can view your photos.
Image level security allows to override these settings in some cases. You can only tighten the security on individual photos, so if your account is set to public, you can set individual photos to members or friends. If your account is set to members only, you can set individual photos to being friends only. If your account is set to friends only then you can not change security options per image.
